Martian Mortars has no accounts, and playing it collects no personal information. The browser game and the Martian Mortars pages of this website carry Google AdSense code, so they may show ads and use advertising cookies.

What the game saves

The browser version saves two small items in your browser's local storage: your volume and mute settings, and a note that you've seen the first-time lesson, so it isn't shown again. They stay on your device. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.

The Windows version saves your volume and mute settings in a small file on your PC, at %LocalAppData%\MartianMortars\audio.txt. The file never leaves your PC.

What the game doesn't do

• It has no accounts, sign-ins, chat or online play.
• It has no in-game purchases.
• It doesn't send your scores or games anywhere.
• It doesn't use your camera, microphone, location, contacts or files.

Advertising

The browser game and the Martian Mortars pages of this website use Google AdSense, which may show ads on them:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this and other websites.
• Google's advertising cookies let Google and its partners serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

The Windows version doesn't show ads.

This website

The Martian Mortars pages run no analytics. The about, how-to-play and privacy pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google's servers for them, and Google receives your IP address as it would for any web request (see Google's Privacy Policy). The web host may keep standard server logs of requests.

Children

Martian Mortars is made for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13. Playing it collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
