Your desktop is the table
The railway spreads over every monitor you give it. Zoom in on a station, glide back to see it all, or follow one train round the whole line.
Model railway builder & simulator
A model railway across your whole desktop. Lay the track over every monitor, set the signals, and watch it run itself. Then climb into the cab.

How it works
LocoSim is a train set with no box to put away. Lay a little line or a whole network, and the railway works itself: trains keep to the signals, call at stations, shunt wagons and keep time.
The railway spreads over every monitor you give it. Zoom in on a station, glide back to see it all, or follow one train round the whole line.
Straights, curves, turnouts, wyes, three-way switches, crossings, ramps up to hills and viaducts, tunnels, turntables, and flex track to close any gap.
An interlocking sets the routes, throws the switches and holds them for each train. Trains drive themselves on red, yellow and green, and never meet head on.
Take the throttle, brake and reverser in a 3D cab, with a caboose cam looking back, a whistle and bell, and a hula girl on the dash.
People gather at stations, busier at the rush hour, and ride where they're going. Goods trains carry grain from the farm to the factory and supplies back.
Let time pass from dawn to dusk to a night of lit windows and headlights. Rain wets the ground, snow settles on it, and you hear it fall.
Run to a timetable drawn up from your own railway, with departures boards at every station. Football crowds, the harvest and engineering works turn up by the day.
Answer a few questions - which trains, how busy, what scenery - and LocoSim lays a working railway to fit your screens. Or open the showcase and watch everything at once.
Steam's exhaust, the clack of each axle over the joints, a diesel's growl, rain on the cab roof and crickets at night - all made as it plays, with no recordings.
Everything on the table
Every kind of train runs on the same table, and the town around them is busy too.
Engine, tender and coaches, puffing in time with its exhaust. Turned on the turntable and put away in the engine shed.
A red and silver streamliner, on passenger work or hauling the goods.
Power cars at both ends, on its own oval or a viaduct ring over the line.
Up on its beam at the high level, with stations of its own.
Down the middle of the town's streets under the overhead wire.
In tunnels under the town, its stations just a stairway and a red M.
An airport where airliners land, taxi to the gates and take off again, their passengers off to the train.
Air ambulances to the hospital's rooftop pad, charters to the terminal.
